Author Guidelines
General Guidelines
Manuscripts should be in English. American or British is accepted, but not the mixture of both.
Abstracts of no more than 250 words are accepted.
Manuscripts should have 2 to 15 keywords.
Font, indentation and spacing: Times New Roman; Font Size: 12; Indentation: Left and Right: 0; Spacing: Before: 0, After: 6pt; Line Spacing: 1.5.
Employ italics wherever applicable, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses).
All authors should include their full names and affiliates. One author should be identified as corresponding author. Corresponding author should include the postal address and telephone number. The email address of the corresponding author will be displayed in the article PDF. The corresponding author should be authorized by all authors to act as an agent on their behalf in all matters pertaining to publication of the manuscript.
If your research is funded or grant-awarded by any organization or body, please provide all details as an acknowledgment in the title page of manuscript.
If author(s) are using a word which is or is asserted to be a proprietary term or trade mark, they should use the symbol ® or TM.
Figures, Tables, and Equations
Each figure and table should have a caption.
All figures, tables, and equations should be embedded within the manuscript.
All figures, tables, and equations must be numbered in the order in which they appear in the manuscript e.g. Figure 1, Figure 2.
Referencing
Journal of Insurance and Financial Management uses the APA (American Psychological Association) referencing system. Please click here for more information about APA.
Responsibility for the accuracy of bibliographic citations lies entirely with the authors.
Please ensure that every reference cited in the manuscript also presented in the reference list and vice versa. Avoid citation in the abstract.
Citation of a reference as “in press” implies that the item has been accepted for publication.
Citation of web references should be followed by full URL. Web references can be listed separately (e.g. after the reference list with a different heading) or can be included in the reference list.
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in Microsoft Word or WordPerfect document file format.
- JEL codes are provided for the manuscript (Click here to know more about JEL codes).
- The text uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
